World Building Event

Some world-building is always fun and even if I sound like I have gone a little mad. At least it isn't AI!

This is the start of something bigger, and I wanted to not overwhelm the reader with lore. I have also tried to make it funny and light-hearted, even with the subject being a person's death.
This has come about, as I look to explore a more narrative angle for Threat Level: Emergency Response. Building not just a individual incidents but also a more complete environment. I have staged these as clearly fake articles. I used https://unsplash.com/ for a lot of the images, I wanted to make it as real as possible, without AI.

The writing was done from the point of view of a character, a small newspaper ran by stupid but well-meaning amateurs. With the supporting article as a piece of interest and to make it look more real.
The telephone number is for my local branch of Samaritans, an organisation which does so much good work. I would recommend getting help if you can bring yourself to reach out. In all seriousness, I tried to kill myself earlier this year. That was a tone shift. Fortunately, I failed and soon afterwards got some help and I am being supported by a range of family, friends and medical professionals.

While being off sick from work, I have had to time to write more. Explore new ideas and game plenty of video games. Mostly flight Sim! I had wanted to get back into the tabletop games industry, get a proper game design/development role. However, I am not sure I want to work for other people. While I am sure they have the money to spend on my unique game styles and interesting takes. The industry is too scare of how awesome I would be with money. Plus, most people have never heard of Suffolk and must think I live in a far away place. while just being a two hour drive away from Nottingham, with no need for flights or ferries.
So, while I could have used AI to write these and my incidents. I will continue working without the tool. I have become fond of drinking water, I want to keep drinking it.
So, until next time we meet. Stay safe and keep being you!
